Artur Fischer
Joint CEO, Business Services
Artur was appointed as Börse Berlin´s CEO in April 2007. Prior to joining Börse Berlin, he held leading positions with several European top tier banks. From 1986 until 1991, he was a Director at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange where he was a.o. responsible for the conceptual and technical realisation of one of Europe´s best known stock indices, the DAX (Deutscher Aktienidex). His marketing and sales strategies resulted in the universal acceptance of the DAX as Germany´s most prominent stock market indicator. After three years as a board member of an English subsidiary of Hypo Bank, Artur joined Bankgesellschaft Berlin. There he became Corporate Division Manager and COO of the London branch. Since 2000 Artur has worked as a management consultant and has successfully advised numerous national and international clients in the stock exchange and capital markets sectors.
At Equiduct Trading Artur is responsible for Business Services including Finance, Sales, Marketing and Communications.
Dr. Jörg Walter
Joint CEO, Exchange Services
Jörg Walter was appointed as Börse Berlin´s CEO in June 2000, in the course of restructuring Berlin Stock Exchange. Since then he has acted both as Chief Executive Officer of the Berlin Stock Exchange which is subject to public law and as Board Member of Börse Berlin AG. Prior to working for Börse Berlin, Jörg Walter was a lawyer in Berlin and joined the legal department of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Berlin where he specialised in competition law. Under his management, Börse Berlin successfully implemented various initiatives including prolonging trading times and expanding Berlin´s offer of international instruments.
At Equiduct Trading, Jörg Walter is responsible for Exchange Services including market surveillance, admissions, rules and regulations.
Rob Brouwer
CIO
Rob was appointed CIO of Equiduct in 2006 and has been involved with the ETS trading platform since 2000 when he performed the technical due diligence leading to the acquisition of Easdaq by Nasdaq. He has been instrumental in the functional and technical development of the trading system to make it the industry leader it is today. Prior to this, Rob was CTO of Nasdaq Europe where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the European version of the SuperMontage trading platform. Rob played a pivotal role in the subsequent acquisition and implementation of this trading system to replace the Nasdaq US legacy trading infrastructure.
Prior to joining Nasdaq, Rob was responsible for the technology department of derivatives branch of Euronext Brussels. Rob has twenty years of experience in information technology management within the financial services industry, working for companies such as BNP, Euroclear, Euronext and IBM. In these roles Rob has been responsible for major software and services procurements and project implementations.
At Equiduct Systems, Rob is responsible for all technology issues.
Willy van Stappen
COO
Willy joined Equiduct as its Chief Operating Officer in March 2007, after more than 25 years experience in the securities industry. Willy joined Equiduct from LCH.Clearnet SA where he was Member of the company’s Investment Management Committee and the company’s Integration Programme Committee and Programme Director responsible for the Equities Integration and Equities Harmonization Programme. Between 2001 and 2003, Willy was member of the Executive Committee of Clearnet SA (Banque Centrale de Compensation, France) as head of operations Clearnet SA and General Manager of their Brussels branch. He was also a Member of the Board of the Belgian CSD “CIK” from 2000 and 2005 and member of the Brussels’ Euronext Orientation Council. From 1999 to 2001, Willy was Member of the Executive Committee of Brussels Exchanges (BXS), CEO of BXS Clearing S.A. and of BXS-CIK S.A. From 1990 to 1999, he was Vice-President of the Executive Committee of Belfox (Belgium Futures and Options Markets) with responsibilities over the Clearing, Compliance, Finance and Trading departments. Prior to joining Belfox, Willy held different positions in the securities departments of various financial institutions. Willy chaired the European Association of Central Counterparty Clearing Houses in 2001.
At Equiduct Systems, Willy is responsible for Operations Management including On-boarding, technical Market Control and Clearing & Settlement.
