Senior Java Developer - Technical Java Lead

Our environment is highly complex and very challenging but extremely intellectually rewarding. The core of the system is built using C++ on a Solaris platform and some knowledge of complex multi-tier systems will be a distinct advantage.

You must have good interpersonal skills, we don't mean you have to be ‘life and soul of the party,' you just have to fit in, a bit of ‘give and take', happy to work as part of the team and happy to contribute effectively.

Overview:

Equiduct is a Pan European Stock Exchange and the technical environment is complex and challenging. It is not necessary that you have direct experience in this market as we will train you on the business side of things. You will however have had to have gained knowledge in complex multi-tiered environments.

Responsibilities:

• Defining the Java architecture
• Lead Java Developer and programmer
• Ownership of the Java technical environment
• Java Technical lead
• Mentoring

Specific Skills: Ideally

(Your knowledge of Java must be rock solid - It is a genuine technical lead role)

• Java, ideally 1.5
• J2EE, Spring, Hibernate etc.
• Clear understanding of messaging systems
• Solaris
• Multi-threading
• Distributed systems
• JUnit, JSP
• FIX experience a distinct advantage
